Build 10. Wipers
A "simple" job provided that you get them seated in the right place first time. I found this out the hard way as I ended up with one wiper very wonky, and as such I had to remove the arm. The wipers are push fit and to remove them you need to push out the little metal spring (which was so tight a plastic tool didn't have enough force, so I had to end up using a flat head screwdriver with gaffer tape on it, and then cardboard to protect the scuttle top!). Whilst doing this you need to pull it left and right and it will eventually come off. Is was quite a forceful effort, and I really didn't like doing it just in case I damaged something!
An update on removal, there is a knack to it, put the wiper in it's upright position use your thumb on the top of the attached part, and then slowly wiggle it off, I didn't need to pres the tab in doing it this way. I found this out when fitting the aero screen later down the line.
Also make sure to check that the motors are actually in the parked position, I'm actually "probably badly" assuming they are here as it can only really be done when the battery is connected. I've got a note to test these whilst having the wipers in their upright position and to make sure to take appropriate measures to protect everything in the case that they are not!
The result is quite nice though, I might need to trim the ends a little to pass the IVA, but I'll let the PBC at Caterham sort this from here.
Second update on this, PBC, they trimmed the wipers to fit the screen for me.
